Post Title: State Veterinarian (X2 Posts)
- Reference Number: SV
- Centres: Kroonstad Veterinary Laboratory and Welkom State Vet Office
- Requirements: BVSc Degree or equivalent, South African Veterinary Council registration, Code B Driver’s License, 1–2 years post-qualification experience.
- Duties Include: Disease surveillance, issuing permits, abattoir inspections, early warning systems, training programs, and policy analysis.
Post Title: Veterinary Technologist (X2 Posts)
- Reference Number: VET
- Centres: Bloemfontein and Kroonstad Veterinary Laboratories
- Requirements: National Diploma in Veterinary Technology, registered with SAVC, valid driver’s license, 1–2 years’ experience.
- Duties Include: Diagnostic testing, data management, SOP development, lab maintenance, and staff supervision.
Post Title: Animal Health Technician (X3 Posts)

- Requirements: National Diploma in Animal Health, registered with SAVC, Code 08 driver’s license, 1–2 years’ experience.
- Duties Include: Vaccinations, disease inspection, community extension services, and sample collection.
Post Title: Veterinary Public Health Officer (X1 Post)

- Requirements: Diploma in Environmental/Animal Health or Veterinary Public Health, valid driver’s license, 1–2 years’ experience.
- Duties Include: Food safety, abattoir inspections, enforcement of the Meat Safety Act, and training on hygiene practices.
Post Title: Laboratory Assistant (X2 Posts)
