Post Title: Operations Manager: Customs (Ref: 10329)

Requirements:

Education and Experience (Option 1):

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Business Management (NQF 7)
  • 5–7 years’ experience in the Customs environment, including 1 year at supervisory level
  • Ports of Entry operations experience is an advantage

Alternate Option:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF 4)
  • 10 years’ experience in the Customs & Excise environment, with 1 year at supervisory level
  • Ports of Entry operations experience is an advantage

Functional Requirements:

  • Leadership in Customs border processes
  • Compliance with Customs & Excise legislation
  • Operational strategy execution
  • Resource management in a shift environment

Key Competencies:

  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and decisiveness
  • Knowledge in border control, customs regulations, SARS systems
