1. Assistant Director: Crime Prevention and Partnerships (Pinetown)
- Ref. No.: CSL12/2025
- Salary: R552 081 per annum (Level 10)
- Requirements:
- 3-year National Diploma (NQF level 6) or higher in Social/Police Science or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in crime prevention.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work extended hours.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and crime prevention policies.
- Skills: Project management, communication, report writing, computer literacy, financial management, and conflict resolution.
- Duties:
- Promote community police relations and community safety structures.
- Develop and maintain community policing forums and safety initiatives.
- Strengthen partnerships with Civil Society Organisations.
- Coordinate inter-departmental interventions for policing priorities.

- Same as for the Pinetown position.
- Duties:
- Similar to the Pinetown role, focusing on the Mbonambi/Empangeni region.

3. Driver (Pietermaritzburg)

- Salary: R183 279 per annum (Level 4)
- Requirements:
- Matric and a valid driver’s licence (Code C1 with valid PDP).
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Knowledge of motor vehicle operation procedures and maintenance.
- Duties:
- Transport passengers and deliver mail and documents.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report defects.
- Maintain records and logbooks for the vehicle and goods handled.
