Post Title: Legal Specialist – Office of the GCEO
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law / LLB Degree
- Completed Articles
Experience:
- 15 years post-admission experience
- At least 5 years at senior management level
Added Advantage:
- Postgraduate qualification in Law
Key Performance Areas:
- Provide strategic legal counsel and advice aligned to PRASA’s business priorities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (procurement, lease, service, maintenance, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and corporate policies
- Represent the GCEO in engagements with stakeholders like National Treasury, Transnet, and strategic suppliers
- Build strong relationships with internal and external legal entities
- Formulate legal opinions and manage litigation on behalf of PRASA
Training & Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of PFMA and Supply Chain Management
- Contract negotiation and drafting
- Relevant legislation applicable to PRASA
