Requirements

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • National Diploma or Degree in:
    • Information Technology
    • Management Information Systems
    • Statistics
    • Computer Science
  • Valid driver’s licence (minimum Code EB)
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Routine Health Information Systems will be an added advantage:
    • ART / TIER.NET
    • District Health Information System (DHIS)
    • Electronic TB Register (ETR / HPRS)

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of information systems and data management
  • Ability to compile meaningful reports, presentations, and graphical data
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Technical knowledge in an IT environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Duties

  • Roll out (install) TB/HIV Information Systems and HPRS (ART, TIER.NET) in health facilities
  • Conduct training on Routine Health Information Systems (ART, TIER.NET, ETR Web, DHIS, HPRS)
  • Provide ongoing technical support to health facilities
  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely reporting of health programme data
  • Coordinate collection of routine and non-routine data, including surveys
  • Populate templates for programme reporting
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of district health information
