Requirements:
- NQF Level 4 qualification and Trade Tested certificate as Electrician
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Valid Code C1 driver’s licence
- Good communication and supervisory skills
- Ability to write accurate reports and record information clearly
- Proficiency in at least two official languages spoken in Kouga (Afrikaans, English, Xhosa)
Special Conditions:
- Required to work in all weather conditions
- Must be available for emergencies and planned overtime
- Must perform standby duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical services and supervise workers during LV domestic connections
- Assist with and supervise cable laying during upgrades
- Routine electrical maintenance on substations, pump stations, overhead lines, and municipal buildings
- Oversee and guide subordinate staff, including scheduling and supervision
- Perform HT maintenance and HV/MV switching (if certified competent)
