Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
  • National Diploma/Degree in Psychology or BA Social Work (Major in Psychology) or relevant qualification (NQF 6/7)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in an education/teaching and learning environment (or related field)
  • At least 3 years at supervisory level

  • Support workplace student experience in collaboration with programme management and stakeholders
  • Oversee sport, recreation, arts and culture programmes for students
  • Coordinate SRC elections, student leadership development, student code of conduct and orientation programmes
  • Mainstream gender and disability support for students
  • Manage human and financial resources for the unit

  • Manage HR development: bursaries, internships and WIL, induction, training interventions, WSP

  • Coordinate Employee Health & Wellness programmes (HIV/AIDS/STI/TB services, health and safety, wellness initiatives)
  • Coordinate HR planning and Employment Equity (EE) plans and reporting
  • Ensure implementation of HR and EE plans across the college

  • Provide executive and administrative support to the Principal and manage office workflow

  • Follow up and compile progress reports on resolutions and commitments
  • Provide secretariat support to College Council, committees, Academic Board and SMT
  • Compile agendas, minutes, reports, speeches and presentations
  • Maintain a resolutions register and ensure signed minutes are safely filed
  • Coordinate strategic and operational planning, service delivery improvement plans and performance reporting
  • Conduct assessments on organisational efficiency and productivity measurement
