Post Title: Manager – Consumer Education Department

Purpose of the Job:
To lead and oversee the strategic development and implementation of consumer education initiatives, aligned with FSCA’s mandate of promoting financial literacy and capability across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic plan for financial education in South Africa
  • Manage research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities
  • Support implementation of conduct standards for consumer education
  • Lead staff within the Consumer Education Department
  • Build stakeholder relationships across educational and governmental bodies
  • Promote integration of financial education into formal education systems
  • Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership in financial education

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related field (Postgraduate degree advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, including 3 years in a management role
  • Expertise in educational programme design, administration, research, M&E
  • Experience working with youth and vulnerable groups preferred
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, project management, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
