Post 1: Assistant Director – Monitoring Services (NCB3)
Ref No: HO 2025/10/09
Directorate: Parole and Probation (Parole Supervision)
Salary: R506 667 per annum
Centre: National Head Office
Minimum Requirements
- Recognised three-year degree/national diploma in Behavioural Sciences.
- At least five (5) years relevant supervisory experience (NCB2).
- Successful completion of Correctional Science Learnership/Basic Training.
- Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence.
- Top secret security clearance will be an added advantage.
Competencies and Attributes
- Knowledge of Correctional Services Act 111 of 1998 and Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977.
- Excellent communication, report writing, facilitation, and research skills.
- Decision-making, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Duties
- Conduct and present research on monitoring services for probationers and parolees, both nationally and internationally.
- Develop, revise, and implement legislation, regulations, policies, and manuals related to monitoring services.
- Respond to parliamentary and regional enquiries on parolee and probationer monitoring.
- Manage marketing, performance, finance, and human resources related to monitoring services.
- Attend workshops and conferences on correctional monitoring.

Post 2: Senior Administration Officer – Administration Training

Directorate: Functional Management and Training
Salary: R397 116 per annum

Minimum Requirements
- Degree/National Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- 3–5 years relevant HRD experience.
- Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence.

- Knowledge of Skills Development Act, SAQA Act, PFMA, HRD Strategy, Labour Relations Act, and DCS Strategic Plan.
- Strong facilitation, project management, and report writing skills.

Key Duties
- Facilitate procurement, travel, and administrative functions for the Directorate.
- Maintain leave and duty registers, salary advice distribution, and personnel records.
- Support budgeting and fund allocation processes; process claims and payments.
- Manage classified documents, organise meetings, and ensure compliance with departmental policies.

Post 3: Administration Officer – Logistics and Stores (X2 Posts)

Minimum Requirements
- Three-year degree/national diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing Management.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a supply chain management environment.

- Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, LOGIS system, and tender processes.

Key Duties
- Implement and administer Supply Chain, Transport, LOGIS, and Procurement policies.
- Manage warehouse, transit, fleet, and asset verification operations.
- Facilitate asset reconciliation, logistical training, and supplier management.
- Maintain supplier databases and oversee annual asset verification.
- Manage financial and human resources within the unit.
