Post Title: Legal Officer x2
Salary Level: 10 – R527 298.00 per annum (Excluding Benefits)
Locations & Reference Numbers:

- Free State – Bloemfontein (Ref No: CGE LEG – FS 04/2025)
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and manage gender-related complaints.
- Represent complainants in Equality Court.
- Conduct litigation and mediation.
- Monitor court operations in the province.
- Draft legal input on provincial legislation from a gender perspective.
- Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Submit monthly and quarterly reports.
- Support the implementation of the Annual Performance Plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B. Proc or LLB degree (LL.M advantageous).
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court with at least 3 years’ post-admission experience.
- Experience in Human Rights law and litigation.
- Knowledge of the Constitution and Equality Court operations.
- Sound understanding of gender issues.
