Senior Manager: Valuation Services

Department: Group Finance

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 plus Degree/NQF Level 7 or National Diploma in Real Estate: Property Valuation (or SACPVP-recognised qualification)
  • Registered Professional Valuer / Professional Associated Valuer with SACPVP
  • 6–8 years’ valuation experience (3 years at managerial level)
  • Municipal valuation and legislative experience
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage compilation and maintenance of valuation rolls
  • Ensure compliance with the Municipal Property Rates Act
  • Manage staff performance, budgets, assets, and governance processes
  • Stakeholder engagement on valuation matters

Valuer

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Property Valuation or equivalent
  • 3–4 years’ valuation experience

  • Conduct property inspections, research, and valuations
  • Prepare and maintain valuation rolls
  • Compile valuation reports and ensure legislative compliance

Senior Investigator: Theft of City Assets

Department: Group Forensic & Investigation Services (GFIS)
Branch: Operations
Remuneration: R49 780.13 per month (basic salary, excluding benefits)
Location: 48 Ameshoff Street, Braamfontein

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 plus relevant NQF Level 7 qualification (Forensic/Policing/Accounting/Law)
  • 5–8 years’ forensic investigation experience
  • Knowledge of investigative laws, governance, and reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate theft of City assets and maladministration
  • Compile forensic reports and provide evidence in proceedings
  • Participate in anti-corruption awareness initiatives

Deputy Director Positions (GFIS)

Deputy Director: MISS Vetting

Remuneration: R64 033.65 per month
Focus: Personnel security, vetting, MISS compliance, governance

Deputy Director: Fraud and Corruption

Remuneration: R64 033.65 per month
Focus: Prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud and corruption

Deputy Director: Theft of City Assets

Remuneration: R64 033.65 per month
Focus: Management of asset theft investigations and governance

Common Requirements:

  • Relevant 3-year degree (NQF Level 7)
  • 8+ years’ experience (including supervisory/management)
  • Strong forensic, governance, and reporting expertise
