- Bachelor’s Degree in Sport & Recreation Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or related field (NQF Level 7)
- 6–8 years’ experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the implementation of regional sports and recreation programmes
- Support city-wide strategic planning and operational execution
- Oversee demand planning, budgeting, and procurement processes
- Ensure team performance and staff development
- Establish relationships with stakeholders, communities, and sports bodies
- Monitor performance and ensure compliance with policies, frameworks, and service standards

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all sports, recreation, and aquatics services in the City
- Oversee Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Planning (SDBIP)
- Lead budget planning, procurement, human resources, and governance processes
- Implement municipal sport development frameworks and aquatic safety standards
- Establish strategic partnerships with community groups and sporting bodies
- Drive inclusive participation and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
