Post Title: Regional Skills Advisor

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Finance, Project Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, HR Management/Development, or ODETDP.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a Skills Development/HRD environment. Experience in SETA, chemical industry, or technical fields is advantageous.
  • Valid Code EB driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage skills development activities across designated organisations.
  • Guide stakeholders on CHIETA grant processes (mandatory and discretionary).
  • Facilitate and oversee Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) submissions.
  • Conduct workshops, establish Skills Development Committees, and build stakeholder capacity.
  • Monitor discretionary grant projects, report progress, and ensure financial and compliance tracking.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and identify risks, mitigation strategies, and implementation bottlenecks.
