Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Team Leader: Office of the CFO by providing administrative and operational support across finance, ICT, and general office management functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and resolving requests on the Finance Service Desk.
  • Support the coordination of audit information and compliance reporting.
  • Assist with timeous submission of reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct daily ICT health checks and flag issues.
  • Collate information for committee meetings and ensure registers are up to date.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and track procurement processes.
  • Handle queries from internal stakeholders efficiently.
  • Monitor and flag tasks using a Project Management Tool.
  • Complete financial reconciliations and assist with transactional tasks.
  • Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
  • Support the finance transactions and reporting teams as required.
  • Perform additional ad hoc administrative and ICT-related tasks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Positive attitude with a can-do mindset.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
  • Strong administrative, financial, and communication abilities.
  • Good interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to speak two of the Western Cape’s official languages.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and travel when required.
  • Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence.

Recommendations (Added Advantage)

  • Accountancy or Mathematics at matric level.
  • Background in External/Internal Audit, Finance, or ICT.
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a similar audit or financial administrative environment.
