- Location: Alkantpan Test Range (On-site), Copperton, Northern Cape
- Job Purpose: To manage the operational planning, personnel, safety compliance, stakeholder engagement, and technical accuracy of ballistics testing services for national and international clients.
Requirements
- Essential Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- BTech in Explosives Technology or Mechanical Engineering
- Added Advantage:
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Management
- ISO 17020 certification as Approved Inspection Authority Manager and Technical Signatory
- Experience:
- 6–8 years of experience in large-scale ballistics testing (local & international)
- Supervisory or team leader-level experience
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical requirements for accurate quotations and test planning
- Manage operational safety and compliance with Explosives Act and DoEL requirements
- Conduct and supervise ballistic tests, ensuring precise data reporting
- Oversee the ISO 17020 Inspection Body and risk management plans
- Engage with foreign clients and manage technical requests
- Coordinate marketing and stakeholder strategy for Alkantpan
- Ensure legal compliance for the import/export of ordnance
- Develop safety and risk assessments for explosive-related activities
