Salary: R504,254.40 – R594,097.80 TCTC per annum
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Grade 12 (or NTC III) + Operator’s Certificate
or - Grade 12 (or NTC III) in Water & Wastewater Treatment N3 + 15 years’ experience
or - National Diploma in a relevant field + 6 years’ experience
or - BTech/4-year BSc in relevant field + 4 years’ experience
or - Professional Engineer/Natural Scientist registered under relevant Acts + 3 years’ experience
Additional Requirements:
- Registration as a Class V Process Controller for both Water and Wastewater Treatment Works (WTW & WWTW)
Added Advantage:
- National Diploma in Water Care or Chemical Engineering
- PrPC (Professional Registered Process Controller)
Key Outputs:
- Implement business plans to ensure reliable water supply and effluent discharge
- Monitor demand and infrastructure standards (SANS 241 & General Authorization)
- Manage statutory requirements for health and safety
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and secure site assets
- Supervise staff and oversee cost centre budgets
Key Competencies:
- Supervisory or management experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Understanding of OHS Act and telemetry systems
- Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence
- Fluency in English, Xhosa, and Afrikaans
- Familiarity with the Amatola Water supply area
