Post Title: Safety Specialist: Flight Procedure Design (FPD), Aeronautical Information (AI) & Aeronautical Cartography (AC)
Requirements:
- Education:
- Grade 12 with university exemption
- PANS-OPS Basic and Advanced Courses
- AT/AIM Core Content Course (if applicable)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in air transport operations including:
- Flight procedure design & validation
- Aeronautical cartography (advantageous)
- Obstacle evaluation
- Project management experience in procedure design
- Minimum 5 years in air transport operations including:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety policies for Flight Procedure Design, AIM, and Cartography.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, safety investigations, and promote compliance.
- Monitor regulatory alignment with ICAO, SACAA, and related frameworks.
- Develop non-regulated flight procedures and manage aeronautical data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including regulators and aviation authorities.
- Contribute to research and innovation in aviation safety systems.
Post Title: Watch Manager – ATSO FAOR
Requirements:
- Education:
- Matric
- Air traffic control qualification/rating
- Grade 2 Instructor Certificate
- Experience:
- Current validated ATC license in an ATC Centre
- At least 5 years’ experience in ATC and 2 years on-the-job instruction
- Additional (to be completed within 12 months of appointment):
- Search Mission Coordinator (SMC)
- Management Development Programme (MDP)
- Grade 1 Instructor
- Added Advantage: Tertiary qualification in Aviation/Operations Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage air traffic service operations at FAOR ATCC.
- Monitor compliance with ICAO and SACAA standards.
- Conduct operational briefings, oversee incident responses, and ensure training.
- Promote cross-unit collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Participate in stakeholder engagements and manage resources efficiently.
- Contribute to strategic alignment and reporting for operational excellence.
