Salary notch will be determined based on recognised relevant experience after obtaining a trade test certificate.

Requirements

  • Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Diesel Mechanic
  • Valid driver’s licence (C1)
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
  • Computer literacy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of earthmoving and construction equipment, including graders, TLBs, and trucks

Duties

  • Repair and service fleet, graders, TLBs, and trucks in workshop and on-site
  • Perform inspections on fleet and report or repair defects
  • Advise operators on proper lubrication of machinery
  • Render group operations services
  • Confirm roadworthiness of fleet
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations during repairs
  • Perform administrative and related duties as required
  • Mentor Tradesman Aids
