1. Officer: Claims Investigations (x4 Posts)
Division: Claims

Purpose of the Job:
To provide effective and efficient investigative support services for claims lodged against the Road Accident Fund (RAF).
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and assess claims lodged with RAF.
- Trace insured drivers and witnesses; obtain statements and dockets.
- Capture sketch plans and photographs of accident scenes.
- Obtain or verify affidavits and supporting documents.
- Identify and report potential fraud and corruption.
- Testify in court where required.
- Verify claimant details through NaTIS and Cross Check systems.
- Validate supporting and financial documentation for claims.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of documents.
Minimum Requirements:
- NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in a relevant field.
- Driver’s License required.
- Training as an investigator and certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) will be advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in merit and quantum investigations is advantageous.
Key Competencies:
- Strong ethics, customer focus, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of NaTIS and Cross Check systems.
- Report writing and administrative management skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office & SAP).
2. Paralegal (High Court)

Purpose of the Job:
To provide administrative, research, and legal support to attorneys within the RAF’s High Court division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case preparation.
- Draft, summarize, and organize legal documents and pleadings.
- Assist in client and witness interviews.
- Manage litigation files and ensure proper documentation.
- Contribute to regulatory and functional reporting systems.
- Liaise with stakeholders and support governance processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a legal environment.
Technical and Behavioural Competencies:
- Knowledge of claims litigation, MVA law, PFMA, and governance standards.
- Strong client service orientation and decision-making skills.
- Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical abilities.
