Post 1: Executive Manager – Zone Development and Operations
Type: 5-Year Fixed Term Contract
Purpose: To lead infrastructure planning, customs control, facility operations, and strategic zone development for investors within the SEZ.
Minimum Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Commerce, Operations Management, or Customs & Excise
- Master’s degree in management (advantageous)
- 10+ years’ senior management experience in SEZ/Customs Zone/Logistics/Infrastructure/Automotive development
Key Responsibilities
- Implement SEZ Act compliance and infrastructure planning
- Manage security, customs, stakeholder relations, and facility maintenance
- Lead planning, procurement, and maintenance of investor utilities
- Oversee SHEQ and customs control area (CCA) strategies
- Manage budgets, risk, and operational teams
Skills & Competencies
- Project management (full lifecycle), construction, financial management
- Knowledge of SEZ/WCO/SARS legislation
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement
Post 2: Executive Manager – Corporate Services Division
Type: 5-Year Fixed Term Contract
Purpose: To provide strategic leadership across HR, legal, ICT, SHEQ, marketing, and other internal support services.
Minimum Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in HR, Public/Business Admin, Law, Marketing or Management
- Master’s degree in management (advantageous)
- 10+ years’ corporate services experience, including 5+ years at senior management level
Key Responsibilities
- Lead human capital, labour relations, ICT, marketing, and facilities
- Oversee risk, compliance, performance, and governance
- Manage strategy planning, implementation, and reporting
- Serve as the primary authority on legislative compliance (EEA, PFMA, LRA, POPIA, etc.)
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic planning, policy implementation, change management
- Conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement, coaching and mentoring
- Strong governance and corporate reporting expertise
