This is a permanent post under the Directorate of Community Services (Libraries, Thusong and Community Facilities). Residents of the Western Cape may receive preference.

Requirements:
- B.Bibl / B.LIS / B.Tech: LIS / B.Inf (Hons) or PGDip LIS (NQF Level 7)
- Valid Code B driver’s licence
- 3–5 years relevant experience, including supervisory experience
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Proficient in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
- Willingness to work after hours or travel for meetings

Key Performance Areas:

- Compile library reports and monthly statistics
- Maintain asset records via Collaborator system
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Deliver quality information services to the public
- Manage library resources (books, equipment, ICT access)
- Assist with displays, programmes, and public interaction
- Register and barcode new library items (books, CDs, etc.)
- Conduct user education and research support
- Maintain accurate shelving and categorisation
- Liaise with stakeholders to enhance library service delivery
