Post Title: Control Environmental Officer Grade A: Air Quality Authorisations (Ref No: CCAQ07/2025) – x2 Posts

Location: Pretoria
Salary: R612 480 per annum (OSD)

Requirements:

  • Four-year Degree (NQF Level 8) in Natural/Environmental Sciences or related.
  • Six years post-qualification experience in air quality, environmental management, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEM Air Quality Act, industrial emissions, EIAs, and licensing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and technical communication skills.

Duties:

  • Manage atmospheric emission licence applications.
  • Review compliance reports and EIAs.
  • Assist with compliance and enforcement at licensed facilities.
  • Support emissions reporting and offset project implementation.

Requirements:

  • Four-year Degree (NQF Level 8) in Environmental/Natural Sciences.
  • Six years’ post-qualification experience in air quality management.
  • Knowledge of postponement procedures under NEM: Air Quality Act.
  • Strong analytical, policy development, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Duties:

  • Coordinate postponement applications and compliance roadmaps.
  • Advise the National Air Quality Officer.
  • Monitor air quality offset projects.
  • Provide technical input on licensing matters.

Post Title: Assistant Director: Internal Control and Compliance (Ref No: CFO12/2025)

Location: Cape Town
Salary: R468 459 per annum

Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Auditing, Accounting, Financial Management.
  • Three years’ experience in internal control, SCM, or auditing.
  • Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, LOGIS, BAS, and PERSAL.
  • Skills in audit steering, financial risk analysis, and compliance monitoring.

Duties:

  • Investigate irregular and fruitless expenditures.
  • Perform compliance and key control assessments.
  • Manage internal audit recommendations.
  • Monitor departmental control environment and loss control systems.
