Handyman (x2 Posts)
- Pretoria Campus – Ref No: TNC/PC/25 – 10/1
- Temba Campus – Ref No: TNC/TC/25 – 10/2
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and air conditioning.
- Ability to perform routine repair and upkeep tasks independently.
- Experience managing key control and coordinating with on-site security personnel.
- Must be available on campus 24/7 and able to respond to risks and emergencies.
- Knowledge of safety inspections and facility maintenance standards.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and during college events.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in gardening, landscaping, or cleaning will be an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
Duties:
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, fences, and doors.
- Identify and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
- Secure and unlock offices, workshops, and classrooms as required.
- Manage key allocation and safekeeping.
- Fix broken windows, doors, leaks, ceilings, and ablution facilities.
- Maintain campus grounds through gardening, landscaping, and cleaning.
- Review and record security incidents; report risks to management.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Attend meetings and assist with additional tasks as delegated.
- Participate in continuous training and development.
