Post Title: Provincial Maintenance and Operations Manager (x8)
Type: Permanent
Purpose: To provide strategic oversight of SANRAL’s road network operations, infrastructure maintenance, and safety initiatives across the provinces.
Requirements:
- BSc/BEng/BTech Degree in Civil Engineering
- ECSA Registration as Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech (Compulsory)
- SACPCMP registration (advantage)
- 10+ years’ experience in road maintenance, construction, toll ops, or ITS
- 5 years in a managerial role or 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning for provincial road operations and asset preservation
- Manage budgets, project performance, contract admin, and compliance
- Oversee road safety audits, ITS operations, tolling systems, and overload control
- Coordinate with public entities, municipalities, and stakeholders
- Provide technical support and expert analysis on road infrastructure
- Lead provincial office teams and performance management
- Promote SANRAL’s initiatives and build community engagement
