Post Title: Inspector: Air Traffic Services

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Valid Air Traffic Control Licence with one of the following:
    • Aerodrome and Approach (Procedural & Surveillance), or
    • Aerodrome and Area (Procedural & Surveillance)
  • Ideal: Instructor’s rating, Designated Examiner, or Internal Auditing Certificate
  • Experience:
    • 7 years in air traffic operations
    • 2 years in aviation committees, regulation, auditing, or investigations (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of air traffic service providers
  • Process approvals and certifications
  • Manage documentation, records, reports, and SLAs
  • Participate in safety promotion and industry feedback
  • Liaise with national and international stakeholders
  • Perform enforcement functions for regulatory non-compliance

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in International Relations, Political Science, or related
  • Ideal: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7)
  • 1 year experience in international relations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organising diplomatic events, international visits, and logistics
  • Conduct research on global aviation policies and trends
  • Support stakeholder coordination and protocol compliance
  • Assist in the development of partnerships and international programmes
  • Track correspondence and produce briefing materials
