Requirements

  • National Diploma in Production Management or Administration with Work-Study as a component
  • National Diploma in Environmental Health with Waste Management as a component (added advantage)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • 3–4 years’ experience in Waste Management planning

Job Purpose

To provide an efficient and cost-effective waste management service through systematic planning of projects, investigating system improvements, assembling statistics, conducting work-study projects, and performing general administrative duties.


Chief Clerk (Three Positions)

Salary: R342 132 – R450 612 per annum (basic salary only)

Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications
  • 5–8 years’ relevant experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence

Key Competencies

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other local official language
  • Strong interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Good report-writing skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate land ownership and size requirements
  • Prepare correspondence and standardised notifications
  • Verify and monitor statutory advertisements
  • Liaise and negotiate with landowners in terms of the Expropriation Act
  • Prepare lease, sale, acquisition and encroachment agreements
  • Draft submissions for standard committees
  • Supervise staff attendance, leave control and performance
  • Provide procedural guidance and assess training needs

Job Purpose

To perform administrative and supervisory duties related to property administration, including rezoning, subdivisions, leases, sales, acquisitions and expropriations, ensuring effective utilisation of municipal land in compliance with land-use planning legislation.
