Post Details

Hospitality Lecturer (6-Month Contract – Substitute Lecturer)

  • Salary: R270,498 per annum (pro-rata for contract duration)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
  • Recognized three-year Diploma or Degree in Hospitality
  • Teaching Qualification
  • SACE Registration
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience
  • Computer literacy

Added Advantages:

  • Assessor and Moderator certifications
  • TVET College sector experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent knowledge of the subject area
  • Good record-keeping and classroom management skills

Duties:

  • Teach NCV Level 2-4 and Report 191 (N4-N6) Hospitality subjects (theory and practical)
  • Prepare lesson plans, produce teaching materials, and maintain accurate attendance registers
  • Set, mark, and assess tests, assignments, and exams
  • Provide student feedback and maintain assessment records according to ICASS and College Assessment policies
  • Manage teaching resources such as textbooks, PPEs, equipment, and consumables
  • Participate actively in campus meetings, assessments, moderation, and invigilation duties
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in hospitality
