What You Must Know Before Applying
- Use the new Z83 (old Z83 = disqualification).
- Z83 must be fully completed, signed and initialled (Sections A–D compulsory).
- Shortlisted candidates will do two pre-entry assessments:
- Practical exercise
- Integrity (ethical conduct) assessment
- Successful candidate will undergo security vetting and checks (criminal, citizenship, credit, qualification and employment verification).
- Probation: 12 months + performance agreement required.

Requirements
- National Diploma (NQF 6) in HR Management / Labour Relations (SAQA-recognised)
- Driver’s licence
- 3–5 years labour relations experience
- Knowledge of:
- Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, BCEA
- Disciplinary Code & Procedure, Public Service Regulations
- Collective bargaining (PSCBC/GPSSBC), government processes
- IPID Act, Public Service Act, case law
- Skills/competencies: interviewing, report writing, strong communication, negotiation, planning
- Must be willing to work overtime/standby
- Must be fit/competent to handle a firearm or willing to undergo testing
Duties (What You’ll Do)
- Manage grievances and misconduct cases
- Represent IPID in dispute forums (CCMA, GPSSBC, PSCBC)
- Advise management and employees on labour relations matters
- Support development/review/implementation of labour relations policies
- Train managers and staff on grievance/disciplinary processes and labour legislation
- Coordinate Departmental Bargaining Chamber (DBC) meetings (logistics, agenda, minutes)
- Maintain records, databases, and compile monthly/quarterly/annual reports
