Minimum Requirements
- B.Bibl / B.LIS / B.Tech: LIS / B.Inf (Hons) / PGDip LIS or equivalent 4-year post-matric qualification
- Computer literacy
- Registered member of LIASA
- 2–3 years’ practical experience in a public library, including:
- Supervisory experience
- Experience gained as part of an academic programme

Key Performance Areas
- Coordinate and control activities, materials, displays and events in the Reference Section
- Participate in meetings and prepare reports on service delivery standards
- Supervise staff in the execution of duties
- Recommend solutions to operational challenges to the Senior Librarian
- Coordinate acquisition, organisation and dissemination of information
- Promote reference services and create awareness among users
- Apply specialised skills to assess public awareness and guide users on reference services
Special Conditions
- Willingness to work irregular hours
- Probation period: 6 months
