About the Role
The Assistant Business Systems Analyst will provide vital support to the Business Systems Analyst in ensuring that the Durban ICC’s business systems operate efficiently, meet performance standards, and are fully utilised across departments.
The successful candidate will be part of the Information Systems team, supporting system development, reporting, user training, and troubleshooting to enhance organisational performance.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
Qualifications:
- Matric (NQF Level 4)
- Certificate in Finance Business Information Systems
- Certified QlikView Designer and Developer (Data Architect)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in QlikView design and development
- Experience with SQL databases and ERP systems
- Experience in report writing
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems

Key Responsibilities
- Provide user support for ERP systems and QlikView applications.
- Assist with the development of new system functionalities, upgrades, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate company-wide reporting using ERP software.
- Maintain Crystal and SQL reporting services.
- Conduct regular system maintenance checks for POS software.
- Support master inventory maintenance and ensure data integrity.
- Develop QlikView reports and extract data from various systems.
- Update menus and pricing on financial systems.
- Train staff on system usage and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
- Monitor system hardware performance and ensure operational stability.
- Perform data analysis and prepare evaluation reports.
