Post 1: Assistant Director – Human Resource Planning and Policy (Ref No: NDOH 84/2025)

Sub-Directorate: Human Resources Planning and Policy
Salary: R468 459 per annum (plus competitive benefits)
Centre: Pretoria

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate and National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience at supervisory level (Salary Level 8) in recruitment, selection, or HR management.
  • Proven policy development or review experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR management legislation, directives, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with HR Management Information Systems and HR planning principles.
  • Sound knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and SCM frameworks.
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Duties:

  • Oversee and fast-track the filling of departmental vacancies.
  • Ensure quality assurance of vacancy advertisements and approval processes.
  • Provide HR advisory and secretariat support during shortlisting and interviews.
  • Maintain recruitment databases and vacancy status reports.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing HR plans, policies, and implementation reports.
  • Identify policies for alignment with HR strategic objectives.
  • Supervise and quality-assure subordinates’ work for compliance.

Post 2: Human Resource Practitioner (Ref No: NDOH 85/2025)

Sub-Directorate: Human Resources Planning and Policy
Salary: R325 101 per annum (plus competitive benefits)
Centre: Pretoria

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate and National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in human resource management.
  • Knowledge of HR legislation, recruitment processes, and PERSAL system.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Duties:

  • Administer and implement recruitment and selection processes.
  • Check and finalise advertisements for HR posts.
  • Conduct shortlisting to ensure fairness and compliance.
  • Coordinate interview logistics and prepare documentation for panel members.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and vacancy statistics.
  • Support HR planning, policy reviews, and training presentations.
  • Complete and control submission forms for appointments and risk management.
