Post 1: Casual Cashiers (x18 Posts) – Sports & Recreation, Swimming Pools

Term: Fixed Term Contract – 8 Months
Salary: R613 per day worked

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office)
  • 2–5 years’ relevant experience
  • Cash register experience

Competencies

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and receipt payments
  • Provide information on charges
  • Reconcile daily collections
  • Prepare schedules for verification before depositing cash/cheques

Post 2: Casual Lifeguards (x9 Posts) – Sports & Recreation, Swimming Pools

Term: Fixed Term Contract – 8 Months
Salary: R717 per day worked
SAP Post Numbers: 20002926 – 20002934

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or relevant qualification
  • High-level First Aid competency
  • Valid Lifeguard Award or equivalent with current annual retest

Competencies

  • Strong swimming, rescue, and first aid skills
  • Excellent communication and risk management abilities
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Pass Council’s skill and fitness test
  • Monitor and maintain pool safety and sanitation
  • Perform rescues and first aid duties
  • Operate public address system
  • Educate public on pool safety
  • Conduct pool maintenance and water testing
