Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Secretarial and/or Administration Diploma or relevant qualification at NQF Level 6
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating at a Senior Secretarial level within a government environment
  • Proven experience in administration and document management
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and Internet applications
  • High level of interpersonal skills to engage with senior officials, councillors, stakeholders, and the public

Primary Function

Provide effective executive and document management support to the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) through the Office Manager. This includes managing high-level correspondence, ensuring timely responses, and coordinating administrative processes to meet required standards and deadlines.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the MMC via the Office Manager
  • Prepare for meetings, take minutes, and track implementation of decisions
  • Manage MMC diary, logistics, and meeting outcomes
  • Deliver office support and internal liaison across administration, political, and stakeholder areas
  • Assist with ad-hoc functions and events
