Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably:
    • National Diploma or
    • BCom with Financial Accounting or Financial Management as a major subject
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • 0–2 years’ relevant experience

  • Supervision of cashiering staff
  • Control and checking of cashier transactions
  • Control and query vote management
  • Recording and implementation of council tariffs
  • Receipting, reconciliation and posting of income transactions
  • Customer service delivery and client liaison
  • Recording of bank guarantees
  • Opening and recording of incoming mail
  • Authorising prepaid application forms
  • Performing reporting duties and any other related tasks as instructed

Job Purpose

To perform administrative and accounting procedures involving updating, adjustment and posting of revenue data, responding to enquiries, and providing clerical support to ensure accurate processing of financial transactions in line with approved procedures and guidelines.
