Farm Assistant
Nature of Appointment: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract
Salary: R163 680 per annum (Level 3) plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Requirements
- Grade 10
- 6–12 months’ experience in an agriculture environment/related field
- Basic knowledge: farm operations, feeding, biosecurity
- Skills: basic farming, artificial insemination, breeding, poultry, livestock handling, basic driving, numeracy and literacy
- Willingness to work overtime
Duties
- Crop production support: irrigation, soil preparation, pruning/weeding, chemical crop protection, harvesting, grading, packing and storage
- Livestock support: care of sick animals, vaccination/dosing, dipping, assisting with calving/lambing/hatching, feeding and watering, weighing and moving livestock
- General farm duties: cleaning facilities, waste disposal, maintenance of tools/equipment, fire prevention, loading/offloading
- Infrastructure support: maintain roads, fences, pipelines, dams, troughs, housing, windmills and water systems
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Receptionist
Nature of Appointment: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Duties
- Manage campus reception and switchboard operations
- Provide clerical support, typing, filing (manual and electronic), data capturing and binding

- Support record management and emergency procedure updates
- Provide relief services and assist with stock taking where required
Admin Clerk: Assets and SCM (2 Posts)

Duties
- Provide admin support to ASD: Curriculum Implementation and part-time classes coordinators
- Procure LTSM and ensure SCM compliance
- Capture/extract curriculum data and part-time class applications/attendance
- Verify captured ICASS marks on the system
- Arrange logistics for meetings/workshops; take minutes
- Maintain project filing systems and registers; manage correspondence registers
- Support reporting to DHET and stakeholders (monthly/quarterly/annual)
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and handle routine enquiries
Bursary Clerk

- Assist with accommodation and travel allowance applications
- Verify accommodation with property owners and compile reports
- Administer other bursaries and respond to enquiries from students/parents/stakeholders
- Support attendance report requisitions and bursary advocacy

Duties
- Plan and improve crop/livestock operations, staffing and farm finances
- Prepare planting/harvesting schedules and guide staff/students
- Inspect divisions, conduct soil/water tests and manage farm supplies
- Operate machinery when needed and oversee repairs/maintenance
- Market and sell farm products and ensure compliance with regulations
- Support budgets, financial reporting, staff recruitment/training and funding applications
- Implement ISAT/PAT planning, Health and Safety, animal welfare and environmental protection
