Human Resources Officer (Project) โ€“ Fixed-Term Contract (3-Month Maternity Cover)

Purpose of the Job

Provide end-to-end HR generalist support aligned to the project needs and support operational HR services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on HR best practice and support consistent delivery of HR processes across the project
  • Support compliance with employment law changes and ensure practices are implemented consistently
  • Provide HR generalist support including talent acquisition, talent management, organisational design, employee relations, employment equity and learning and development
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and legislation
  • Prepare weekly and ad hoc HR reports
  • Prepare documentation for appointments and ensure approvals are obtained
  • Manage employment contracts and provide feedback to candidates where applicable
  • Engage with vetting service providers and follow up on outstanding vetting results
  • Support onboarding of new employees and ensure onboarding documentation is completed
  • Ensure compliance and reporting in line with PFMA, Banks Act, Postbank Act, BCEA, corporate governance and risk management principles

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree and/or Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management / Behavioural Science (NQF 7)
  • 4โ€“6 yearsโ€™ experience in a similar role (banking industry experience preferred)

Customer Services Clerk โ€“ Postbank Operations (Fixed-Term Contract)

Location

Multiple sites across the country. Candidates may be required to move across sites within a 30 km radius if operationally needed.

Purpose of the Job

Customer Services Clerks serve as Postbankโ€™s in-store banking representatives within partnered retailers. The role supports customers who need help initiating or completing banking transactions and promotes Postbankโ€™s digital and self-service channels (ATM, mobile app and USSD), while ensuring full compliance with governance and KYC/AML standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, redemptions, balance enquiries and book updates
  • Authenticate customers using ID and/or registered MSISDN and verify account compliance (KYC/AML)
  • Initiate assisted transactions using the CSC terminal/tablet and generate barcodes or OTP slips
  • Reconcile daily activity, log exceptions and escalate issues when required
  • Educate customers on digital banking channels and support first-time activations where possible
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with security, anti-fraud and reporting requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) โ€“ essential
  • NQF 5 or higher in Banking / Financial Services / Customer Management โ€“ preferred
  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ customer-facing experience (banking, retail or financial services)
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Clean criminal record and ability to work under pressure

Team Lead: Customer Services โ€“ Postbank Operations (Fixed-Term Contract)

Locations

Mpumalanga (Ehlanzeni), Limpopo (Capricorn/Mopani/Sekhukhune), Western Cape (City of Cape Town/Garden Route/Central Karoo) and Eastern Cape (Queenstown, Alice/King Williamโ€™s Town, East London).

Purpose of the Job

Supervise the issuing of bank cards at allocated distribution sites and provide day-to-day operational management and support to Customer Services Clerks to ensure service standards, compliance and smooth site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is functional and systems access is available; report faults to Regional Operations Manager
  • Ensure sites are operational with stationery, marketing material, cards and required equipment
  • Ensure staff follow SOPs and that sites are appropriately staffed
  • Manage attendance registers and weekly time sheet submissions
  • Handle customer complaints and stakeholder issues promptly and escalate unresolved issues
  • Submit daily statistics and reports as required
  • Support issuing of cards when necessary if clerks are absent
  • Manage queues and overall customer experience at distribution points

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) โ€“ essential
  • NQF 5 or higher in Banking / Financial Services / Customer Management โ€“ preferred
  • Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ customer-facing or teller experience
  • Supervisor/Team Lead experience (added advantage)
  • Code 8 driverโ€™s licence and own car โ€“ essential
  • MS Office proficiency and strong customer service orientation
