Posts and Requirements

1) Human Resource Clerk (Supervisor) — Ref No: 3/1/1/1/2025/14

Directorate: Corporate Services
Salary: R325 101 per annum (Level 07)
Centre: North West (Mmabatho)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Human Resource environment.
  • Knowledge of registry duties, data capture, computer operation, storage and retrieval procedures, and the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Skills: Planning and organising, computer literacy, written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, flexibility, and teamwork.

Key Duties:

  • Supervise and implement HR administration practices: recruitment & selection, appointments, transfers, qualification verification, interview secretariat, absorptions, probation, conditions of service (leave, housing, medical, IOD, long service, overtime, relocation, pension, allowances) and terminations.
  • Recommend/approve PERSAL transactions according to delegations.
  • Prepare HR reports and statistics; handle HR enquiries.
  • Manage enquiries from internal and external clients.
  • Supervise HR staff: allocate work, ensure quality, develop personnel, apply discipline, and assess performance.

Minimum Requirements:

Key Duties:

  • Provide secretariat/reception support to the Director: manage diary, calls, documents, office equipment.
  • Arrange meetings/events (venues, invites, refreshments, schedules); process travel & subsistence claims; handle invoices.
  • Record minutes, draft routine correspondence and reports; maintain filing; administer leave registers and telephonic accounts.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing documents; procure standard items (stationery, refreshments).
  • Keep up to date with applicable prescripts/policies and office procedures.

Directorate: Financial and Supply Chain Management Services
Salary: R228 321 per annum (Level 05)
Centre: Northern Cape (Kimberley)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Knowledge: Basic financial functions and data capture; PFMA, DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual; systems such as PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS.
  • Skills: Planning and organising, computer literacy, language and communication (verbal/written), basic numeracy, confidentiality, fairness and honesty.

Key Duties:

  • Financial accounting transactions: receive/check/process invoices; file documents; collect cash.
  • Salary administration: process salary advices (salaries, bonuses, adjustments, deductions).
  • Bookkeeping: capture transactions, clear suspense, manage debtors/creditors, process electronic banking, compile journals, register new debts, send monthly statements.
  • Budget support: collect information, compare expenditure vs budget, identify variances, capture/allocate virements, distribute and file budget documents; receive and capture cash payments.
