1. Manager: Division of Revenue – Provinces
Location: Cape Town | Salary: R1,162,200 – R1,365,411 (Total Cost to Company per annum) | Contract: Five-Year Fixed-Term
As the Manager of the Division of Revenue for Provinces, you will oversee and conduct research activities related to the allocation of financial resources to provinces. Your role will include providing strategic leadership, conducting policy research on fiscal matters, and developing recommendations on public finance and development outcomes.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Public Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in research/analysis and project management.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and quantitative research skills.
- Knowledge of government budgeting processes and intergovernmental fiscal relations.
- Familiarity with statistical software such as STATA or EViews.
2. Researchers (X2)
Location: Cape Town | Salary: R811,560 – R952,485 (Total Cost to Company per annum) | Contract: Five-Year Fixed-Term
We are looking for two researchers who will work in the FFC’s Research Division, conducting in-depth economic research and analysis. Your work will contribute to the annual Division of Revenue submission and provide recommendations for fiscal policy development.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Econometrics, or related field.
- 3+ years of research experience with a proven track record in publications.
- Proficiency in statistical software (STATA, R, EViews).
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with policy analysis and budget review.
- Ability to present research findings to diverse audiences.
3. Compliance and Risk Manager
Location: Cape Town | Salary: R811,560 – R952,485 (Total Cost to Company per annum) | Contract: Three-Year Fixed-Term
In this role, you will manage the strategic, operational, ethics, and business continuity risks for the FFC. You will ensure compliance with legislation and regulations and act as an advisor on risk management and best practices in governance.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Commerce or Law.
- At least 5 years of experience in risk, governance, and compliance, with 3 years in management.
- Membership of professional institutes like the Institute of Risk Management or Compliance Institute SA is a plus.
Competencies:
- Strong communication, ethics, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage high-stress situations and provide solutions under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and risk management frameworks.
4. Management Accountant
Location: Cape Town | Salary: R811,560 – R952,485 (Total Cost to Company per annum) | Contract: Three-Year Fixed-Term
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting within the Finance Division. You will ensure financial discipline, manage budgeting processes, and provide critical financial insights to support the FFC’s mandate.
Key Requirements:
- Appropriate B Degree in Financial Management or equivalent.
- 4+ years of relevant management accounting experience.
- Proficiency in financial software such as Pastel, Accpac, or similar platforms.
Competencies:
- Strong financial management and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of public administration and financial planning processes.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff.
