Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification at Honours level in Environmental Management, Disaster Management, Fire Services, or related field
- Active registration with relevant professional bodies
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in local government, with at least 3 years at managerial level
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own vehicle
- In-depth knowledge of related government policies and legislation
Key Responsibilities:
- Support municipalities in Environmental, Disaster, Fire & Emergency Services
- Participate in lobbying, research, capacity building, knowledge sharing
- Implement and monitor project roll-outs, including M&E
- Manage relationships with municipalities, government, NGOs, and communities
- Provide technical support and guidance through provincial technical forums
- Contribute to SALGA’s strategic governance and knowledge systems
