Post 1: Principal Clerk – Driver’s Licence Test Centre (Re-Advertisement)

Department: Public Safety
Task Grade: 07
Salary: R211 406,04 – R274 416,00 per annum (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Registered Grade L Examiner for Driving Licence.
  • Ability to operate eNatis System, Licence Pro and SEU.
  • Ability to communicate in local spoken languages.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Driving Licence fraternity.
  • Experience in reconciling daily cash intake (advantageous).

Key Performance Areas:

  • Issue credit card driving licences.
  • Handle daily filing, faxing, and telephonic/public enquiries.
  • Process and record driving licence renewals.
  • Respond to audit queries related to the test centre.
  • Draw cash-up documents daily.
  • Allocate tasks to subordinates.
  • Order, receive, receipt, and issue stock.
  • Conduct learner’s licence tests when required.

Post 2: Tractor Driver

Department: Community Services
Task Grade: 05
Salary: R148 873,92 – R192 272,28 per annum (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • Grade 10.
  • Code 10 driver’s licence.
  • Experience in operating a tractor.
  • 6–18 months relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English and IsiZulu.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Operate a tractor to cut grass in parks, gardens, and public open spaces according to prescribed square metre targets.
  • Maintain tractor daily (oil, fuel, etc.) and report defects to the supervisor.
