Post Title: Assistant Superintendent: Sewerage Network

Salary: T11 – R334,202 to R433,826 per annum
Type: Permanent

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification
  • Plumbing Trade Test
  • 3–5 years’ experience in sewer infrastructure
  • Code EB driver’s license
  • Proficiency in two of the three official Western Cape languages
  • Knowledge of municipal infrastructure operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise sewerage network operations and subordinates
  • Inspect pump stations and approve sewer plans
  • Handle grievances, leave planning, and team motivation
  • Perform stand-by duties and manage overtime shifts
  • Ensure work quality and safe task execution

Post Title: Senior Accountant: Revenue Enhancement

Salary: T13 – R450,877 to R585,266 per annum
Type: Permanent

Requirements:

  • 3-year tertiary qualification (e.g., BCom or National Diploma in Accounting)
  • 5–8 years’ revenue management experience in local government
  • 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Valid driver’s license and MS Office proficiency
  • Language proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the Municipal Revenue Enhancement Strategy
  • Ensure compliance in rates, property valuations, and income reporting
  • Address customer and auditor enquiries
  • Coordinate administration of rates, sundry income, and tariffs
  • Compile performance and statistical reports
  • Supervise revenue-related financial operations and personnel
