Salary Range: R374 261 – R440 307 per annum (all-inclusive)

Purpose of the Position:

The SHEQ Administrator will support the Senior Manager: Governance, Risk and Compliance in implementing and maintaining integrated SHEQ systems across more than 20 laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17043, ISO 17034 and certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to NMISA staff on SHEQ administration.
  • Document, improve, and implement processes and systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Maintain document control to ensure staff have access to current information.
  • Assist with SHEQ meetings, audits, SANAS assessments, and SABS reviews.
  • Prepare management review reports on SHEQ performance.
  • Coordinate internal audits, raise non-conformances, and maintain audit records.
  • Liaise nationally and internationally on management systems and training.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys for performance monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • B Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science/Management, or Quality Management.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in SHEQ system administration.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, 17043, ISO 17034, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Understanding of EHS legislation, by-laws, and SHEQ processes.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong administrative, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
