Assistant Director: Investment Analysis (Ref No: S065/2025) — Asset & Liability Management (ALM)
Salary: R582 444 per annum (excl. benefits)
Purpose: Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of SOCs/Water Boards, assess risks/benefits of transactions, and recommend appropriate responses.
Requirements
- Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Finance/Accounting/Financial Economics
- 3+ years’ experience in a corporate, financial investment or banking environment
- Proven ability to analyse financial statements, business cases and transactions; make risk/benefit recommendations
Key Duties
- Analyse SOCs/WBs corporate plans and annual reports; draft dashboard summaries and recommendations
- Review tariff submissions by Water Boards and prepare determination letters
- Track and report infrastructure spending trends of SOCs/WBs; prepare presentations and engage stakeholders
- Support SOC reforms: valuation analyses, funding model assessments, privatisation prospects, mandate reviews
- Strengthen corporate governance inputs (PFMA compliance, Section 54 applications, MTEC, Budget Review/MTBPS) and perform site visits

Assistant Director: Information Security and Compliance (Ref No: S072/2025) — Corporate Services
Salary: R468 459 per annum (excl. benefits)
Purpose: Manage information security awareness, investigations, and governance documents; oversee central registry support and PAIA Helpdesk administration.
Requirements
- Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Security Risk Management/Policing/Public Management/Criminal Justice
- 3+ years’ security management & investigations experience; valid driver’s licence
- Knowledge of MISS and related security legislation; strong analysis, conflict management, report writing and presentation skills
Key Duties
- Develop and monitor security awareness programmes; liaise with SAPS/SSA
- Investigate security breaches, compile reports and escalate to SSA/SAPS as required
- Plan and coordinate security operations for MTBPS and Budget processes to mitigate leaks
- Develop and review information security policies/procedures aligned to international standards; advise management

Regularity Auditor (Ref No: S074/2025) — Office of the Director-General (ODG)
Salary: R397 116 per annum (excl. benefits)
Purpose: Execute regularity audits for NT, IRBA, ASB and GTAC in line with the approved audit plan.
Requirements
- Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Internal Auditing/Accounting
- 2+ years’ internal audit experience; knowledge of regularity audit fundamentals, processes and procedures
Key Duties
- Assist with engagement planning and maintain client records
- Support transactional information flows and identification of auditable processes
- Identify risks and controls; perform audit testing; update risk registers
- Evaluate testing results; draft recommendations and reports; follow up on outstanding audits
- Uphold knowledge management and proper electronic filing

Salary: R325 101 per annum (excl. benefits)
Purpose: Prepare, capture and number tender documents; manage tender publication and closing processes with strict confidentiality.
Requirements
- Grade 12; a post-school qualification in SCM/Logistics/Business/Management/Financial Management is an advantage
- 2+ years’ experience in SCM or Financial Management
- Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM policies and prescripts
Key Duties
- Number and prepare tender documents; retrieve electronic bids from eTender; ensure timeous advertising
- Arrange and attend BSC/BEC meetings; manage the tender closing process and tender box
- Record, distribute and file all documents; manage enquiries; handle confidential information discreetly
