Post Title: Senior Internal Auditor
Department: Office of the CEO
Employment Type: Permanent
Purpose of the Job:
To independently evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes in support of JOSHCO’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex and high-risk audits using a risk-based approach.
- Carry out special investigations as required.
- Draft engagement letters and submit for approval.
- Supervise and mentor audit teams.
- Discuss findings with senior management.
- Prepare comprehensive draft audit reports with findings and recommendations.
- Provide advisory and consulting services on audit-related matters.
- Compile monthly progress reports.
- Offer assurance on internal control effectiveness.
Requirements:
- BCom Degree/BTech in Accounting or Internal Auditing (or equivalent).
- Professional certification such as CIA or CA(SA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of internal audit experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an internal audit supervisory role.
