Assistant Manager: Employee Relations

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage labour relations matters and ensure legislative compliance, including the Employment Equity Act.
  • Handle grievance and disciplinary processes and ensure adherence to correct procedures.
  • Ensure effective representation at CCMA and Bargaining Council hearings.
  • Communicate regularly with Employee Relations stakeholders.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate workshops and development programmes.
  • Supervise ER staff, develop IDPs, and monitor sub-unit budgets.
  • Advise management on policies, systems, and processes to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements and Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Labour Relations, HCM, or related field (NQF Level 7 or equivalent).
