Post Title: Deputy Director: Special Programmes Sub-Directorate (Office of the MEC) (Ref No: PS1/2025/01)

Salary: R896 436 – R1 055 958 per annum (All-inclusive package; 30% may be structured)
Centre: Bloemfontein: Head Office
Requirements:

  • Relevant B Degree or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing resources
  • Knowledge of legislation applicable to special programmes
  • Valid Driver’s Licence

Duties:

  • Manage and coordinate special programmes for smooth communication and service delivery
  • Develop policies/strategies for special programmes aligned with National frameworks
  • Establish Quality Learning and Teaching Campaign (QLTC) structures at Provincial and District levels
  • Co-ordinate Youth, Women, and Disability initiatives
  • Monitor implementation of relevant legislation and make policy recommendations
  • Overall management of the Sub-Directorate’s resources

Post Title: Assistant Director: Special Programmes (Office of the MEC) (Ref No: P1/2025/02)

Salary: R468 459 – R551 823 per annum (Level 9)
Centre: Bloemfontein: Head Office
Requirements:

  • Degree or 3-year Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Computer literacy and valid Driver’s Licence

Duties:

  • Assist the Office of the MEC in implementing special programmes
  • Develop and facilitate departmental policies for Gender, Youth, Disabilities, Children’s Rights, and Batho Pele
  • Support line functions in the execution of these programmes
  • Coordinate, promote, and ensure observance of National Importance Days
  • Provide technical advice to senior management
  • Facilitate activities of the Moral Regeneration Movement
