Requirements
- A National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a financial management environment.
- A postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8 or higher) will be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge and experience of BAS, LOGIS, and PERSAL.
- Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good interpersonal, planning, and execution skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of relevant financial legislation, including PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Ability to work independently, accept responsibility, and produce quality results.
Key Duties
- Provide financial administration and operational services within the department.
- Administer the Paymaster General (PMG) Account, including Month/Year-end closure and Revenue management.
- Manage ledger accounts, journals, and provide inputs for Interim and Annual Financial Statements (IFS/AFS).
- Administer entities and safety web payments.
- Oversee petty cash management and PERSAL deductions.
- Perform human resource management and ensure compliance with financial directives and policies.
