Purpose of the Job:
To lead and oversee the strategic development and implementation of consumer education initiatives, aligned with FSCA’s mandate of promoting financial literacy and capability across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strategic plan for financial education in South Africa
 - Manage research and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities
 - Support implementation of conduct standards for consumer education
 - Lead staff within the Consumer Education Department
 - Build stakeholder relationships across educational and governmental bodies
 - Promote integration of financial education into formal education systems
 - Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget
 - Drive innovation and thought leadership in financial education
 
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related field (Postgraduate degree advantageous)
 - Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, including 3 years in a management role
 - Expertise in educational programme design, administration, research, M&E
 - Experience working with youth and vulnerable groups preferred
 - Strong leadership, strategic planning, project management, and presentation skills
 - Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
