Office of the Premier Opens Multiple Vacancies in Mbombela, Applications Close 27 February 2026

The Office of the Premier has announced a wide range of employment opportunities at its Mbombela offices, inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply before the closing date of 27 February 2026. The vacancies span human resources, finance, administration, records management, logistics, occupational health and safety, and organisational development, offering career prospects at different salary levels within the public service.

Key vacancies announced

Among the senior posts advertised is the Human Resource Practitioner: HR Practices, Organisational Strategy and Planning (Post 04/193), offering a salary of R397 116 per annum (Level 08). This role requires a National Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field, with at least three years’ experience in HR, preferably in recruitment and utilisation within the public service. Duties include staff movement submissions, PERSAL reporting, exit interviews, and employment equity support.

Several Administrative Officer posts (Level 07, R325 101 per annum) are also open, covering specialised areas such as:

  • Records Management and Auxiliary Services
  • Transport and Assets
  • Logistics and Disposal Management Services
  • Organisational Design and Job Evaluation
  • Employee Health and Wellness (OHS)

These roles generally require a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in relevant disciplines, along with three years’ experience in the applicable functional area.

In the finance stream, the Office is recruiting State Accountants in both Revenue and Bookkeeping (Post 04/195, two posts) and Expenditure (Post 04/196, two posts), each at Level 07 (R325 101 per annum). Applicants must have a National Diploma in Accounting or Financial Management and proven experience in government financial systems such as BAS, LOGIS, and PERSAL, as well as knowledge of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.

Entry-level opportunities are also available at Level 05 (R228 321 per annum), including:

  • Administration Clerk: Transport and Assets (Post 04/201, two posts)
  • Human Resource Officer: HR Practices, Organisational Strategy and Planning (Post 04/202)

These posts are suitable for candidates with relevant National Diplomas who are looking to build experience within the public service environment.
