Are you an organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for administrative work? Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Ltd is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to join the Isango Lethemba TB Research Unit at the Jose Pearson TB Hospital in Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth.

Key Responsibilities

As an Administrator, you will provide general administrative and clerical support to the Isango Lethemba TB Research Unit. Your duties will include:

  • Document Management: Assist with printing, copying, and binding documents, ensuring that all materials are organized and easily accessible.
  • Environment Maintenance: Keep the workplace clean, organized, and conducive to work.
  • Financial Administration: Handle petty cash requisition vouchers, ensure they are signed off, and reconcile payments daily.
  • Participant Reimbursement: Process participant reimbursements, either by cash or e-wallet transactions.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety measures are followed when transporting staff and patients.
  • Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with stakeholders, maintaining a high level of customer centricity.
  • Self-Management: Take responsibility for your own work, ensuring productivity and quality standards are consistently met.

Additionally, you will be expected to continuously develop your skills and contribute to a positive working environment by maintaining a professional attitude and openness to feedback.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12/Matric

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative environment. Experience working in a TB/HIV environment is an advantage.

Desirable Skills and Abilities

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities:

  • Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with a team and interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer Service: Focus on providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Driving Skills: Possess excellent driving skills for any required transportation tasks.
